Tasting and Dinner with Unibroue Ales at Suite 100
Dear Oenophile
For the past 25 years Unibroue has been crafting honest Belgian style beers. These are true bottle conditioned Ales. They are made like champagne except the yeast is not removed. This leaves them cloudy and naturally fizzy. All their beers age like wine some up to 10 years. A wide range is produced from pale gold to inky black. Alcohols run from a moderate 5% ABV to a mouth filling 10.5% ABV. No weak sisters here. 25 years ago when the craft market was heating up Unibroue established it’s nich by producing Belgian Abby style ales. Back then very very few North American’s were making bottled conditioned beers. Today they are everywhere but Unibroue lead the way.
