Ah, it’s fun to be on the cutting edge. Check out our recently acquired 2010 Montes Twins. From certified wine genius Aurelio Montes, it’s a 50/50 blend of Malbec and Cabernet. The fruit is sourced from the Colchagua Valley in Chile. That’s like saying Napa over here. The Marchigue Vineyard supplies the Malbec and the Apalta Vineyard supplies the Cabernet. This is top of the line sourcing! 60% of the wine spends 10 months in new French oak. Yields are 3.6 tons per acre. I think you are starting to get the idea.
This wine is black with a purple red rim. Decant this baby or use an aerator on it. It has huge aromas either way. The nose is toasty new wood and cassis-briar black fruit, very forward. Once in the mouth the exuberant deep fruits and tannins race around with weight conviction. This is a wine that knows what it wants to be and wastes no time getting there.
Now to the really fun part, it’s not a million dollars, heck it’s not even fifty. It lists for $19.99 but we’re putting it out for a mere $14.99! This wine has big time QPR.
