Clos du Val, Taltarni & Domaine Nizas Tasting & Dinner at Little Italy

Our next Anchorage Wine House event will feature the Goelet Wine Estates next Tuesday April 24th 7PM in the private dining room of Little Italy.

It’s the early 70’s and John Goelet, a descendant of the Guestier wine merchant family of Bordeaux, is looking to set up new wineries. Thus he charged Benard Portet with the task of finding the best vineyard sites in the world. His travels left him with two choices. Stags Leap in Napa Valley and the Pyrenees and Heathcote in Victoria Australia.

You know these wineries as Clos du Val and Taltarni. Clos du Val of course was one of the winning wineries in the Judgment of Paris tasting. The rest as they say is history. Sales Representative Don Cook will be on hand to guide us through this awesome world class selection.

Tasting Line Up
Taltarni Brut Tache Sparkling Wine
Domaine Nizas Languedoc Rose
Clos du Val Carneros Chardonnay
Domain Nizas Languedoc Rouge
Taltarni Three Monks Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot
Clos du Val Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon

Little Italy is going all out to make sure you have a night to remember. They are preparing a unique five course menu just for this tasting. Full on table service includes individual spinach pies, calamari, feta saganaki and pepper steaks with the Stags Leap Cab. Desert is not forgot, and that, should finish up our calorie load for the week!
Cheers
